Continuous operation means that during the screen change the screen bearing piston, which remains in the housing, has enough capacity to take the complete melt flow. After the screen change, a venting takes place to avoid that entrapped air interferes the process.
There is no disruption or interference of the production during the screen change. KREYENBORG continuous screen changers are well proven and have been established on the market for four decades.
According to the type, continuously operating screen changers are equipped with either round or elongated screens. The 4K-versions are equipped with 2 screen cavities per screen bearing piston.
