Polymer Melt Valves and Diverter Valves for Processing of Thermoplastics |

For the economic operation of complex lines a melt flow often becomes necessary, which regulates the melt flow in a controlled manner or which rather discharges the material out of the running process.
Hot die face- or underwater pelletizers with an diverter valve can be operated significantly more effective.
With a diverter valve, intermittent severe contaminations can be flushed out of reactor- or extrusion lines.
Among others KREYENBORG diverter valves are exactly adapted to the application in underwater pelletizing systems of BKG Bruckmann & Kreyenborg Granuliertechnik GmbH. Directly mounted to the water box, they arrange for minimum residence times and rheologically optimized flow paths. However they can also be used with most of the underwater pelletizing systems, being available on the market.
Applications:
- keeping clean of the complete line during the extruder start-up
- discharge of dispensable material to prevent blockages
- material removal in case of strong pollutions in front of the screen changer in order to protect the filter media
- flushing of intermittent severe contamination out of reactor, or extrusion lines
- as safety valve in case of interruptions of the production line to prevent an emergency cut-out of the complete line

- heating by KREYENBORG standard heating cartridges
- optionally deliverable with oil- or steam heating
- integrated borings for melt temperature transducer and melt pressure sensor
- optionally especially coated flow channels
- with integrated screen cavity on request
Hydraulical SystemsThe KREYENBORG polymer valves are delivered with hydraulical systems adjusted to the needs of the customer. According to the application, one- or two stage aggregates with hydraulic accumulators are employed.
