Discontinuous Screen Changers |

KREYENBORG screen changers for discontinuous operation are based on the principle of one single screen bearing piston with one screen cavity.
Screen changers for discontinuous operation are used in processes where screen changes are rarely needed.
The melt stream is conveyed in a channel straight through the housing and the screen cavity is located in the screen bearing piston. To replace the filter medium, the screen bearing piston is moved out of the housing hydraulically, until the screen cavity is freely accessible.
Characteristics:
- a circular or elongated screen on one screen bearing piston
- flow channels having very good flow characteristics
- suitable for all kinds of thermoplastics and a high number of special applications
